As Director of Communications, Katya Moorman
oversees all communications, aesthetics, and public relations messages to ensure a unified story is clearly communicated to the community. In addition she shapes social media outreach and develops and manages strategies to enhance online communications. Prior to Manufacture New York she founded and ran StyleDefinedNYC.com for 6 years. (sold in 2014) Through her original writing and photography she built a site that was recognized as a valuable contributor to the fashion conversation by industry leaders such as Vogue, Zinc and Glamour Magazines as well as Time Out, Fashion Indie, and Nylon. During that time she also worked as a consultant and created unique campaigns aimed at social influencers for brands such as Sony, J&B Whisky and Sebastian Hair Products. She holds an MFA in Design from Cranbrook Academy of Art and is also an Adjunct Associate Professor in the Graduate Communication Design Program at Pratt Institute.
