Domestic Sourcing Specialist
Manufacture New York (MNY), New York’s first incubator and vertically integrated manufacturing facility, is looking for an energetic, organized and passionate individual for the position of Domestic Sourcing Specialist.
Work with various designers to source many types of materials from suppliers in New York City and in the United States
Visit suppliers to gather swatches, information on materials and prices
Build, maintain and update a database of all information gathered
Find and build a database of local NYC garment manufacturers
Work with the Chief Operating Officer and the Product Development Manager to visit manufacturing facilities
Create blog and other social media posts about the sourcing process and your day
Experience in local and domestic sourcing preferred
Energetic and passionate about local and domestic sourcing of materials for garments
Excellent organizational skills
Excellent communication skills
Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and the different Google Apps products
Enjoy walking around New York City and interacting with lots of people
Very interested and active on different social media channels

Pay rate: $12.50 to $15.50 per hour depending on your qualifications
Hours: at least 20 hours per week, with an opportunity to grow into a full-time position
Location: Our offices are located at 23 W 36th Street, but the position requires significant out of office work as you visit suppliers.
